Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Vela, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Vela does

Vela is an AI-powered CV and cover letter generator. You provide your career background; Vela uses AI to produce a professionally formatted document tailored to a job description you provide. Vela only uses information you explicitly provide — it does not invent or fabricate experience.

3. Your account

• →You must be at least 16 years old to use Vela.
• →You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• →You may not share your account with others.
• →One account per person.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• →Free accounts may generate up to 2 CVs.
• →Vela Pro is a monthly subscription at €9/month, billed via Stripe.
• →Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your account.
• →Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact us within 7 days of a charge if you have an issue.
• →Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Vela to:

• ✕Generate CVs containing false, misleading, or fabricated information about yourself
• ✕Impersonate another person
• ✕Attempt to reverse-engineer or abuse the AI system
• ✕Resell or redistribute documents generated for others at scale without permission

6. Your content

You own the CVs and cover letters generated using your data. By using Vela, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for any other purpose.

7. AI limitations

Vela uses AI to generate documents. While we work hard to ensure quality, AI outputs are not guaranteed to be perfect. You are responsible for reviewing any CV before submitting it to an employer. Vela is a tool, not a guarantee of employment.

8. Limitation of liability

Vela is provided "as is". We are not liable for job application outcomes, missed opportunities, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of significant changes. Continued use of Vela after changes constitutes acceptance.
